Joe is an M.A. Composition and BMus (Hons) graduate from City University London and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, specialising in jazz guitar and electroacoustic music. Joe has performed professionally in many styles, ensembles, solo performances and pit bands for musical theatre; most notably, BBC Radio, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Academy of Art, and Shoreditch Town Hall. He is currently performing with ‘The Sparrows of Paris’ amongst many other London based jazz ensembles. He has composed for internationally acclaimed feature films, and worked extensively as a studio technician for Brains and Hunch – Music For Moving Image, London. Joe has published academic writing on the subject of Django Reinhardt and Jazz Manouche on the prestigious ‘Djangobooks’. Joe is currently employed by Rose Morris in Denmark Street as a Guitar Specialist, in addition to teaching composition at Barrow Hill Junior School.
